Michigan Divorce Lawyers

Marriage as an institution has become more of a legal contract than a religious ceremony. Since marriage is a contract, the involved parties, i.e. the spouses can decide to break the marriage and go their separate ways.

A divorce has many legal implications involving property ownership, child custody and other matters. The state gets involved since properties have to have legal titles and the proper care of children is another legitimate legal matter.

Separation can happen in many ways. It can be amicably settled between the spouses themselves, ?in propria persona? in legal terms. A mediator can help spouses negotiate an agreement. The mediator can be a lawyer, mental health professional or even an accountant. Unbundling is a term that allows partners, as general contractors, to negotiate between themselves, bringing in the services of experts only when needed. Alternatively, spouses can hire an individual lawyer to create a win-win situation. Finally, if nothing helps, the couples can go for a court trial where the division of property and custody of the children will be decided by a judge.

The role of lawyers is to help draft a separation agreement between the husband and wife. A separation agreement resolves issues related to alimony, child custody, child support and the division of property. Under the Michigan statute, a judge considers only the factors of standard of living and marital fault for deciding alimony. Similarly, for granting child custody, factors like statutory guidelines, children?s wishes, the health of the child and domestic violence are considered. The judge may employ custody evaluators. Also, child support is decided by factors like shared income, mandatory deduction for medical purposes and child care, college support and shared parenting.

A separation agreement is a binding contract, and therefore must be reviewed with care. Lawyers can be located through local bar associations and also websites. In choosing the lawyer, trust and credentials are very important to consider.

New Jersey Accident Lawyers

Any undesirable or unexpected event resulting in harm and damage can be termed as an accident. An accident generally occurs as a result of carelessness, ignorance, or a combination of causes, leading to an unfortunate result like injury. Under the U.S. law, the term accident is a broad term, covering various incidents, including but not limited to a hit-and-run accident; accidents caused by uninsured or underinsured drivers; accidents involving a bus, truck, etc; premises accidents (trip and fall) caused by defective conditions, improper maintenance, repair or cleaning, overcrowding, insufficient supervision, or improper security; or construction-site accidents, etc.

These kind of unfortunate mishaps not only cause pain and suffering, but often result in financial burdens as a result of being out of work and being confronted with mounting medical bills. If you have been a victim of any of such misfortune, you are entitled to receive fair compensation for all your sufferings and injuries. In order to claim for fair and just compensation, you need the services of an accident lawyer, who has prior experience and expertise in handling accident cases similar to yours. An accident lawyer specializes in legal disputes involving negligence and damages. An accident lawyer knows how to prepare your case and to get you compensated for pain, suffering, and injury by putting together a solid case. Most of the accident lawyers in U.S. work on a contingency-fee basis?that is you don?t have to pay a cent, unless you receive the compensation, at which point you are charged a percentage of the settlement. If you do not win your case, then you are not charged at all. In case of an accident, it?s always advantageous to contact an experienced lawyer from a local office, who is well versed with the laws of the state in which the accident has taken place.

In a state like New Jersey, where highways are the sites of numerous debilitating injuries each year, if you are one of those unfortunate enough to be an accident victim, the most immediate step to be taken is to hire a local accident lawyer, who can provide you with expert legal advice. Finding an experienced and expert accident lawyer is no easy task. You can begin your search with a personal reference, if possible. Also, seeking referrals from state bar association can help you in your search for a good lawyer. Flipping through yellow pages or browsing an online directory can help you find an accident lawyer to take the command of your case and to lead you to fair road of justice.

Write new articles. Share your expertise by writing articles based on practice area topics for which you practice. For example, if you represent clients who have been involved in 18 wheeler accidents and would like to target more 18 wheeler cases, simply write an article about 18 wheeler accidents. To support your topic of choice, consult with research and statistics organizations. They provide detailed statistics, trends and information which can be referenced. Keep articles relatively short. Articles do not need to be lengthy. Many articles fall between 150 - 500 words. Keeping it short is a good rule of thumb, particularly when the article is going to be viewed and read on the web. However, oftentimes, it's difficult to convey a message in so few words. You want to state in the article box that permission is granted to re-publish this article online as long as the author box is left intact and as long as the hyperlink is linked to the correct website.

There are a number of consultants available who can do this task for you. It's referred to in the industry as "ghost writing". There are a number of quality professionals who specialize in copywriting and ghost writing. You simply convey your thoughts and expertise verbally or in written form and let these "wordsmiths" do the rest.

Another suggestion is to tap into your law firm's internal resources. It's quite possible that someone on your staff is an excellent writer and can do the work for you.

Include a Picture Including a picture reminds the reader that there is actually a person behind the article. It lends credibility to the article. Additionally, a photo helps brand yourself in your field with name and face recognition.

Share Your Article Once you've written your article(s), you need to let people know that they are available for reading and re-publishing. Lawyers are not always a Solution for Credit Repair and Credit Building

Lawyers often charge high fees to help individuals get out of debt. Credit repair clinics are available to assist individuals with debt relief, but only the absolute desperate would even consider these types of solutions. So, if this is not the solution for repairing credit, then what is?

Many people that suffer from bad credit often wallow in a pond of self-pity believing there is no escape. Most people sit around waiting for the miracle that came to their neighbor's door to hit their door. The fact is there are no miracles that happen unless someone takes the first step to eliminate the problem. We all suffer at times, and some of us more than others. It depends on the amount you owe, but for most of us getting out of debt is possible.

Let's consider Bankruptcy Chapter 7. Chapter 7 Bankruptcy allows families and individuals to erase many of the debts owed to consumers. Chapter 7 Bankruptcy will often erase medical bills, home mortgage, car payments, and credit card bills. The disadvantage with Chapter 7 Bankruptcy is that you will have to give up some of your assets in most instances. Once you fill out the appropriate papers you will then go into an 'automatic stay' which stops all your creditors from contacting you. This means that the creditors cannot garnish money from your checks each month to apply toward the bills you owe.

It also means that the creditors can not deduct money from your checking, savings, money market accounts and so on. You are also protected temporarily since the consumers are not allowed to discontinue your electric or gas. The advantage of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy is that you have a degree of control over all assets and income that are available once the bankruptcy is in motion. There are debts that cannot be wiped out by filing Chapter 7 Bankruptcy.

Those debts include child support payments, college tuition loans, criminal fines and costs, or other similar bills. The problem with filing bankruptcy is that new laws are coming that will make it more difficult for debtors to file. The new laws in motion are nearly prohibiting debtors from finding a solution. Another form of bankruptcy that is available is the Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. Chapter 13 Bankruptcy means that the debtor keeps their assets while making lower monthly installments on their belongings. This is a good solution for building credit.

If you missed car or home payments it is a solution to help you repair your credit. The downside with Chapter 13 is that if you miss payments the courts has the right to change your plans. If the courts see that the delay is only temporarily they may issue you a 'grace period' until you get back on track, otherwise you might get a 'hardship discharge,' which means that your debts are dismissed. The best solution then is finding a solution for the problem that won't lead you into the courtrooms.

This is only a headache since you will have to make court meetings, be in someone else's control, and so on. The first step to repairing your credit and building to a better future is put some taps on your spending habits. Setting up a budget plan is a great start to credit repair without hitting the courts. Before long the law is going to make it virtually impossible for anyone to go to bankruptcy court, so it is time to get started now. If you are not good at budgeting, there are Nonprofit Organizations that will help you set up a budget plan for little or no cost.

Remember you are not alone, and there are people out there willing to help you get back on your feet. If you don't want to bother someone else with a budget plan you could also purchase software programs that offer the tools for budgeting. Quicken and many other software programs have excellent spreadsheet programs, analyzing tools, and so on to get you on the road to budgeting your money in order to repair your credit.

Why we need Personal Injury Lawyers

If you have a loved one who has suffered from an injury because of somebody else's carelessness, it will just be normal that the person will suggest compensating for your losses and personal injury. They will also make sure that the company who is involved will do what is necessary and should offer a fair settlement. However, that hardly happens. Most of the time, some people will not take the liability for their actions and some of the insurance companies earn from under compensating the injury victims. Lawyers from insurance companies are aware of the principal law that goes with it. They are also aware that most of the non-lawyers have no clue about the legal rights and the remedy that they possess. In handling your personal injury case, you need an experienced personal injury lawyer who is capable of building your case. He should stand for you in negotiating your case up to the trial. He should be able to bring up your case with an insurance company for the compensation and benefits that you ought to have. While you are making contact with your personal injury lawyer in handling your case, the insurance companies are averagely doing everything they can to take advantage of your case. They are also attempting to draw out statements from your case that will break your disposition if you eventually make a decision to sue. A lawyer is always in a good position to assist you in getting hold of a favorable statement that even with the deduction of the attorney fees, considerably go beyond what you can attain on your own. A good lawyer is one that stands for your case fairly and responsible. Some people think that getting a lawyer is worthless because they think that lawyers are only after the fee. This has been a misconception because lawyers are dedicated to their jobs and they consider it not only as a part of their profession but their life as well. In the first place, you cannot stand for your case alone. If you want to put your case into trial, there are certain measures and steps that only a lawyer can. Going to trial is not as easy as reporting to a police officer for a certain damage or loss. It takes more than that so it is just necessary that you hire a lawyer so that you are sure to win your case.
